Burnette Shutt & McDaniel earns five Tier 1 honors in Best Law Firms

Burnette Shutt & McDaniel again has received top-level honors for the Columbia area in Best Law Firms®. The 2026 edition cites the firm in Tier 1 in five practice areas.

The law firm has ranked in Tier 1 in the Columbia area in Litigation – Labor and Employment Law and in Employment Law – Individuals every year since its founding. Its list of top-level honors has grown steadily over time.

The new Tier 1 rankings are in: Education Law, Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law, Employment Law – Individual, Litigation – ERISA, and Litigation – Labor and Employment Law.

Burnette Shutt & McDaniel added several other honors. The additional rankings are Tier 2 in Commercial Litigation, Employment Law – Management, Health Care Law, Mediation, and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. The firm was ranked in Tier 3 in Administrative/Regulatory Law.
