Grant’s employment law practice encompasses a broad range of workplace issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, workplace accommodations, wage disputes, and contracts. In her education law practice, Grant helps students and educators in K-12 and higher education navigate complex matters involving special education, student discipline, teacher discipline, Title IX, tenure and promotion, and academic employment issues.

Grant also practices family law and has long been part of the legal team battling to defend healthcare rights in South Carolina, including reproductive freedom.

Grant’s work in a number of practice areas has been honored frequently, including in peer-reviewed publications such as South Carolina Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America®. “The National Law Journal” honored her as one of three Plaintiffs’ Attorney Trailblazers at the firm in 2023.

Grant served as editor for the fifth edition supplement and as associate editor for the fifth edition of Labor and Employment Law for South Carolina Lawyers, the state’s go-to guide for employment lawyers. She also authored the chapter “Protections for Pregnancy, Lactation, and Related Conditions” for the book.

Grant graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she earned CALI awards in S.C. workers’ compensation law and legal research, analysis and writing, served as co-president of the Pro Bono Board, and was a student attorney at the school’s Education Rights Clinic. She also earned a master’s degree in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi and graduated cum laude from Presbyterian College with a bachelor’s degree in English and History.

A Columbia native, Grant and her husband recently purchased and renovated her childhood home, where they live with their two young children and goldendoodle.
