Burnette Shutt & McDaniel list of top-tier honors in ‘Best Law Firms’ grows

Another year, another record number of top honors. Burnette Shutt & McDaniel’s long history of impressive performance continues in the latest edition of Best Law Firms®, which lists six Tier 1 awards for the firm.

The firm has ranked in Tier 1 in the Columbia area in two employment law categories every year since its founding. Its number of top honors has grown steadily over time to reach its current level.

The six are: Civil Rights Law, Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law, Employment Law – Individuals, Employment Law – Management, Litigation – ERISA, and Litigation – Labor & Employment Law.

Burnette Shutt & McDaniel qualified when a majority of its attorneys were recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers and its companion piece, Ones to Watch. Shutt led the way with her fifth Lawyer of the Year Award, this one for Litigation – ERISA for the Columbia area. She earned nine other honors as well across a wide variety of practice areas, including employment law, commercial litigation, personal injury, and qui tam whistleblower law in addition to two employee benefits categories.
