Best Lawyers conducts independent research and complies all the data in order to make final selections.
Lawyers of the Year awards go to the attorney with the highest overall peer feedback in their city.
Best Law Firms in America, a companion publication that bases its awards on Best Lawyers data, comes out yearly in November. Burnette Shutt & McDaniel ranked as a Tier 1 law firm in two employment law practice areas for the Columbia, SC metropolitan area in the 2018 edition.
