McDaniel appointed Richburg Town Attorney

COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Kathleen McDaniel has been appointed town attorney of Richburg, SC.

Richburg is a small community in Chester County with progressive leaders who are looking toward the town’s future. “They want to grow, and they want to take an active role in shaping that growth,” McDaniel said. “I’m pleased to have an opportunity to work with the Richburg Town Council at this critical juncture for the community.”

The position as Richburg town attorney is not McDaniel’s first foray into government service. She also served a term on the Richland County Planning Commission.

Her practice focuses on government law, including planning and zoning and environmental issues. She’s an experienced litigator, too, serving as co-counsel in cases that have gone before the South Carolina Supreme Court.

McDaniel has been recognized as a South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star for three consecutive years. She’s also been recognized for three straight years in Legal Elite of the Midlands for her work in environmental law, and in 2012 she received the Compleat Lawyer Award Silver Award from the University of South Carolina School of Law Alumni Association.
