2024 Legal Elite honors 10 Burnette Shutt & McDaniel attorneys
The just-released 2024 edition of Legal Elite of the Midlands includes 10 Burnette Shutt & McDaniel attorneys recognized across eight diverse practice areas.
Burnette Shutt & McDaniel lawyers have a lengthy history of earning honors in Legal Elite of the Midlands. Founding partner Kathleen McDaniel has been listed in every edition since 2011. She consistently earns honors in multiple practice areas, one of only a handful of attorneys who do so year in and year out.
Many of the Burnette Shutt & McDaniel attorneys were recognized for their work in employment law, a practice area that is a traditional strength for the firm. The firm also is versatile, as demonstrated by additional honors in Civil Litigation, Personal Injury Law, Environmental Law, Family Law, and Education Law.
Three attorneys – Nekki Shutt, McDaniel, and Sarah J.M. Cox – were recognized in multiple practice areas. Attorneys Annie Day Bame and Lydia Robins Hendrix earned first-time honors in “Legal Elite.”
“Once again, our peers in the Columbia area, including some we often oppose, have chosen an overwhelming majority of our firm’s attorneys for this honor,” firm co-founder Nekki Shutt said. “That certainly makes a strong statement about Burnette Shutt & McDaniel’s reputation in the legal community.”
