Shutt addresses state dental hygienists meeting
COLUMBIA, SC – Nekki Shutt, a co-founder of Burnette Shutt & McDaniel and a certified South Carolina employment law specialist, addressed the midwinter meeting of the South Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association last weekend.
Her course, part of a day-long session, was on labor law. More than 100 dental hygienists attended.
Shutt frequently addresses professional groups across the state, from probate judges and their staffs to human resources professionals, about various aspects of employment law. She’s also created, moderated and presented a number of South Carolina Bar Continuing Legal Education seminars. Topics have included civil rights law, LGBTQ law and general employment law issues.
Shutt’s practice at Burnette Shutt & McDaniel focuses primarily on employee benefits under federal laws such as ERISA. She’s also a skilled litigator who represents clients in wage disputes, wrongful termination and discrimination cases.
